I like to take photos of things. Mostly peoples. Mostly pretty peoples, if I'm honest. But sometimes toys, or dogs, or maybe a tree. Y'know, interesting stuff.
I shoot a few burlesque shows, but that's just to kill time between photoshoots with models, where I can control the light and the pose and the magic.
My photos will have the tag "my photo". Otherwise, it's stolen from the vast wilderness that is the internet. I usually source pics from Model Mayhem, Flickr or We <3 it.
You wanna look me up elsewhere?
Today, we took Sophie to her friend Macen’s 2nd birthday party. It was a paint party, when you make pictures on tiny canvases and decorated a crown, before it descended into a chaotic flurry of loose balloons being kicked, thrown, bitten, burst, popped and chased.
Sophie loved it. Chasing after balloons and kicking them is one of her favourite things in the world.
Sophie and the Ladybug.
Or Ladybird.
What the fuck are they even called?
Today has been a bit of a shitty / odd one, so here’s a picture of Katie taken when she was getting ready for a wedding last month, that I only just found today, when Sophie wanted to look through photos.
Today, I gave blood and then we went to an Easter picnic hosted by our local Breast Feeding Network group.
Sophie was adorable and she got to play with a bunch of her friends.
Currently, Katie is helping her/our friend who lives at the other side of the country with getting out of her marriage, because the husband is seriously abusive, but she’s too scared to leave.
Here, are you feeling a little down?
Have some cute bubbahs!
Sophie being all adorables and my (half) sister’s new baby Emma, who we went to visit again today.
And if squee-tastic babies aint your thing, well, I don’t know. Go to cuteoverload or something.
Turns out, I need to have a backlight on my scanner in order to scan negatives adequately.
This is not something I have.
So, I’ve read an article about how to DIY one, with an SLR and off-camera flash.
Hmmmm.
Still waiting to hear back from them about why they didn’t print it as 6x6 ( I can’t remember if I said…but I sent the company an angry email, about them printing 6x6 photos onto 6x4 paper, and thus cropping half of it out. )
This afternoon, we took Sophie a walk up the river.
She was fascinated by the rocky path way, and was ecstatic to find a run of about 20 bike hoops. She loves running through them. But she’s gotten taller since the last time she did it, so had to duck.
But she forgot every now and again and clucked her little monkey noggin a couple of times!
ampletarts replied to your photoset: Katie just sent me these amazing photos of Soph…
I love watching her grow!
It’s almost unfathomable to me that less than a year and a half ago, she was a tiny wrinkly squishy monkey faced naked ballerina thingy:

and now she’s running about and ( and this is new this week ) beatboxing on command!
