I found this part bordering on amusing:

The English are British and lots of people think the British are English but that annoys the Scottish and Welsh because although some think they’re British and some think they aren’t and some think they are but don’t want to be, they all agree that they definitely are not English. The Irish mostly think they are Irish, apart from the ones who are Northern Irish. Some say that makes them British and Irish. But others disagree and say they should just be Irish and then some say they aren’t British either but part of the United Kingdom. People from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland can all play cricket for England because they’re British as can those from Ireland even though they aren’t British. So can South Africans. The English play football for England unless they aren’t that good when they might try to play for Ireland. Those from the Isle of Wight are English, from Anglesey are Welsh and the Orkneys are Scottish, but although that means they aren’t from the island of Great Britain they’re still British. The Channel Islanders depend on the crown which is what the Queen wears but they aren’t in the UK and those from the Isle of Man are the same, apart from their cats.

What do you do when you have no money, but you want to get someone a birthday present? You make one! This would be a much better plan, however, if you had any skills in craft, which I don’t. ^_^

It’s Sarah’s birthday and she, like any sane person, loves sloths. I had seen this:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/73763063/cute-sloth-felt-handmade-necklace

and thought it would be ideal for her, save for the fact that she already has a necklace that she isn’t likely to take off. lol

So, step one, copy the outline onto a sheet of paper and cut it out:

Step 2: Using the paper template, cut out 2 shapes of felt ( one for front, one for back )

Step 3: Trim it to size ( holy shit felt is resistant to blunt scissors! ) and stitch on a white bit for a face.

Step 4: Eye thing bits. Now would also be a good time to sew eyes and things. I just did it with a knot of yellow thread.

Step 5: Stitch up half of it, sewing the front and the back together.

Step 6: Stuff the open hole with fluffy toy stuffing. Use a pokey stick to poke it into the corners and into the arms. Or, if you’re like me, and can’t sew, you’ll have accidentally sewn up the tiny arms, and you wont be able to get the stuffing in there. So, you’ll have floppy spazzy arms.

Sew the arms together at the tips, so that he’s all grabby onny to things.

The Esty one was a proper necklace ( not to mention that it was well made ¬_¬ ) but mine took a different route. I went for a bit of ribbon so that it could be worn as a necklace, even though it wont be, or could just be strung up somewhere. And I went for green, so it looked like a vine! Silly sloth! You so lazy!

So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!

Everyone should go follow her, or at very least go wish her a happy birthday, and tell her she’s wonderful:
