I like to take photos of things. Mostly peoples. Mostly pretty peoples, if I'm honest. But sometimes toys, or dogs, or maybe a tree. Y'know, interesting stuff.
I shoot a few burlesque shows, but that's just to kill time between photoshoots with models, where I can control the light and the pose and the magic.
My photos will have the tag "my photo". Otherwise, it's stolen from the vast wilderness that is the internet. I usually source pics from Model Mayhem, Flickr or We <3 it.
You wanna look me up elsewhere?
So, here’s the Elevator Pitch :
Monster Rancher with robots!
So, in more detail, imagine if you will:
The world is at war, with lets say big fuckoff aliens. Like, Spider Crabs from Tekkaman or Starship Troopers. In order to win the war, Earth turns to cloning an army of expendable, highly specialised warriors, trained to fight in large scale mecha suits.
Because of the cloning aspect, you can choose the exact look of your character, imagine the customisation options of Artificial Girl / TechArts3D Custom Girl for instance.
You then have to train them, Princess Maker / IdolM@ster style, ensuring that they have a balance of skills to be prepared for every eventuality on the battlefield, where any given day is broken up into 3 parts: Morning, Afternoon and Evening. The activities chosen affect the skills learned ( e.g. Weapons training to increase fighting skills, General Knowledge to increase intelligence, Resting to reduce pilot’s stress levels etc etc )
Along the way, you will also have to research MECHA PARTS and WEAPONS, similar to the research options in X-COM. Mecha can be constructed and upgraded a la Chromehounds.
Much like IdolM@ster, there are rival clone manufacturers, all vying for the Grand Prize of being the research lab chosen by the Government to supply the entire clone army for the Earth ( aka swimming in money ). To prove your worth, there will be regular tournaments, which will switch to a 3rd person turn based strategy. Basically Front Mission 3.
All the training of the pilot and the mecha research comes together here, providing the stats; the move speed of the mech, the weapons available, the accuracy of the pilot, luck, hit points.
Winning these tournaments move you one step closer to THE BIG BAD of the alien race, devoting the entire final third of the game to a campaign of turn based skirmishes pushing the enemies away, before taking the fight to their home world. During this time, performance in battles will determine the skill increases. Research will continue in the background as normal.
Alternatively, if any Games Developer happens upon this, and wants to steal the idea and not give me credit or compensation GO AHEAD! I WILL BUY THE SHIT OUT OF YOUR GAME AND ALL THE COSTUME DLC YOU PUMP OUT!
I’ve been totally ignoring Tumblr this weekend. I managed to get Front Mission 3 onto the PSP…seems the PSP version of PSX games are only like 300mb, rather than the full 600mb ISO rip. ( I actually own FM3 on the PSX, so, when I did a straight rip of the disk, it was 600mb ).
So, I might be away for sometime… The good news is, when I return, I’ll likely be over my PSP fascination and wont be going on about it all the time. ^_^
I honestly don’t want much out of life. I don’t want to be famous, I don’t want to have an army of fans screaming my name, I don’t to bring back to life some dead relative, I don’t want to visit far off planets, I don’t want to fly like Superman, I don’t want world peace.
I. Just. Want. An. HD. Remake. Of. Front. Mission. 3.
Ideally on the Xbox.
Oh, and for IdolMaster to be localised into English.
Front Mission 3 is the most beautiful game ever made. You can customise your mech ( “oh, you can do that in ChromeHounds and in Armoured Core” … Anyone thinking that CLEARLY hasn’t customised a mech in FM3. They two are WORLDS APART. )
You get Crimsonland/Fallout style “perks” where you might randomly AIM ARM and totally destroy an enemies arm just before he launches into the attack that would have killed you, thus living another day,
You have an epic 40 hour story, that, while one or two of the characters are a bit shitty, is pretty engaging and the cut-scenes, oh baby, the cut scenes…
You get turn based combat. Actual genuine turn based. Not like Baulders Gate/KOTOR where you have to hit pause all the fucking time, I’m meaning actual proper chess with robots…Where elevation counts, strategically…
Sorry, I’m getting mopey because I want this PSP, but I’ve lost like 4 or 5 auctions so far. Budget is a big, big concern, so once it goes above £50, I have to drop out.
I don’t have the money to be buying another console that I don’t need. Something like 90% of my monthly wage goes to paying the bills ( except food ). My better half, who normally only gets 4 hours a week work, uses like, 110% of her wage on the food shopping. And Christmas is coming up…which I should be saving for…
RANT OVER. I’m just gonna go for a smoke and then to sleep. Maybe when I wake up tomorrow, I’ll have won a PSP. *sigh*
