Oh, I remembered who the other look-a-like that I see around Ayr is!

Because she came into the shop!

It’s a girl who looks like one of the twins from Skins…Is it Kathryn Prescott?

 I didn’t ever watch Skins, but I’ve seen enough gifs on Tumblr to have decided that they are identical.

I managed to get the place who wrongly processed my 6x6 photos as 6x4 ( thus cropping half the pic away ) to concede and reprint my pictures for free.

2 problems with this, however: 

1. It was made clear by the lady on the email that it was somehow my fault that their staff ticked the wrong box.
2. I need to actually go back into the shop to get them to send the negatives back to their lab…I can’t just post them directly.

Which, for all my perceived bravado and high-functioning-normality, isn’t a thing I’m good with. I don’t like face-to-face anything, let alone face-to-face explaining that I’m the guy who likely got one of them into trouble and that I now want free stuff from them.

Anyone in Ayr/Prestwick want to do it for me? 

i wanna know who it is haha.

Bear in mind, due to my caffeine dependency, I’m always either off my tits on coffee/energy drink, or I’m low in a pit of withdrawal, so I might not be seeing the world as clearly as it actually is.

Case in point.

I have also seen, around Ayr:

• A skinny, tattoo-less Radeo
• Fiona, the genderswapped Fin from Adventure Time
• Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
• Harold Ramis ( Egon, from Ghostbusters )
• And someone else, but I can’t remember who…but it was someone good….

There is a girl in my town, who I see sometimes when I’m on my lunch, and she has an undeniable Katy Perry look to her…

Not quite a look-a-like, more like, she’s Carlythekatycat’s look-a-like…she’s a clone, once removed sorta thing.

Maybe one day, if I’m drunk at lunch, I’ll go up to her and tell her that I love her face.

Totally get a corn snake. They don’t get too large, so docile aswell. I have a baby one and a adult and they are awesome pets. So cute! Perfect for children

There was a reptile shop near my old house, and the people who worked there were happy to take the snakes out for you to stroke them if you asked nicely!

The guys in the Lost World shop were lovely, and let Sophie touch a snake! She is really shy around strangers, so she didn’t seem that excited about seeing the snakes, or the crocodile! or any of the lizards, but literally as soon as we got outside the shop, and it was just me and her, she was all “NAKE! NAKE!” and she’s gabbering away in her own wee language, and I can pick little bits of it up, like she’s holding out her hand, to say that she touched the snake, and she was making her frog noise because she thought the monitor lizards were frogs and then she said something something tortoise.

She enjoyed it. But there is no way we could afford a snake and all the shit that goes with it. We can barely afford to feed and house ourselves as it is! lol And a chunk of our “spare” cash is going towards Katie and my wedding at the end of this year.

Soph is asleep just now, but if she wakes up in a good mood, I’ll try and get a video of her talking about the snakes haha 

I got “that’s the guy“-d the other week.

Was a group of 16 year olds, and one of them loud-whispers to her friend

“That’s the guy!”

And points at me, when she thought she was out of my vision. But I have wicked good peripheral vision.

Unfortunatrly, I didn’t hear any of the rest of what she said. So, I don’t know what guy I am.

I don’t know if it was because I’ve followed them on Tumblr, or Instagram ( I routinely check the AYR tag, because I like following people from my town. That’s how I met Ray! AND WE NOW HAVE A SECRET HANDSHAKE SORTA THING GOING ON! )

• or

if it was a “That’s the guy who works in Kustom PCs” because all the school kids come into my work at lunch time to buy the American sweets we sell,

• or

something that I’m not aware that I’ve done.

But, whatever it was….it made me feel famous, if only for a second. Hahaha. 

A theme.

A long running, ongoing, persistent project for my photos.

Like, I’ve seen photographers that will have 30 photos of the same landscape as it changes throughout the year. Or, a photo essay about the vast homelessness problem in their home city. Or Ellen Von Unwerth style fetish photos.

And I think about the things that I’m passionate about….Video games…Tumblr….Photography…Sophie & Katie….Cosplay…Chocolate…. Nothing really much there.

I mean, I take photos of Soph all the time, but that aren’t really photos that other people want to see…they are just candids, just snapshots for our family album, they just happen to be taken on an SLR, rather than a point & shoot. That doesn’t make them good photos.

Video games. The best photo project on video games that I’ve seen was a photographer that took photos of people’s faces while they were playing games. That or the guy who took photos of folk dressed up like their WoW avatar. But clearly, they’ve both been done.

Tumblr? Chocolate? Photography itself? Nothing there, really.

Cosplay…it’s a bit of a wide subject, and there is not going to be enough interest in Ayr. I mean, come on. Ayr is as dead end a town as you’ll find. All the interesting people leave, and never come back. No chance any of the folk left would be ardent cosplayers.

I’m not crowd sourcing for idea…I’m just musing and ranting and complaining. As is my way. But if you do have ideas, I’ll certainly listen. OR if you do live in AYR SCOTLAND and are interesting….hit me up:
