but it’s going to be dead. Super dead.

There are no couriers in or out and Royal Mail is off, so the internet side is clearly a bust.

But I suspect that even the shop front is going be uneventful.

The thing is, we’ve got a whole upstairs area at work devoted to hosting LAN parties. We’ve even got an HD projector and screen for playing Xbox / watching movies on.

So I suggested a to the boss, how about an impromptu LAN. We’ve like 5 days to let folk know about it, and we’ve never had a LAN while the shop has been open before…it’s always been after hours. He says it’s too short notice, and people are studying for exams.

I suggested putting films on the projector, maybe charging admittance so that we can at least make a little back from this dead weekend, but he goes off on a tangent about the legal ramifications surrounding public showings of dvds and whatnot.

The rain has come back, so there goes any hope of a BBQ.

So.

Does anyone have any ideas what we can do to bring people in, this bank holiday weekend?
