when you’re scrolling through someones Instagram feed…..( I wouldn’t say stalking, but, well, what else would you call it )…..and you accidentally double tap to scroll, and accidentally <3 LIKE <3 someones photo
My boss just texted me asking to come into work at 4:30 in the morning and I threw my phone down and was like “you’re such a faggot I fucking hate you” and then I heard the Siri confirmation noise and I picked up my phone and
I don’t like Instagram, but free’s free. I’m one of those Hipstamatic jerks. I am on Words with Friends if you want to find me though. Moved on from Tiny Tower to Pocket Planes which is just as crazy addictive.
I REALLY want Pocket Planes, but it’s been handed over to the guys who ported Tiny Tower. Which means: months of delay, laggy performance, missing features.
That’s coz Orange are CUNTS. I am dreading getting my phone upgraded coz I know the hassle i’ll have to go through. My phone is such a piece of shit though it causes me pain :( Can’t you just tell them to not set it up?
Huzzah! The Ayr shop had the phone I wanted! And the woman didn’t set it up for me! I didn’t even ask, I had resigned myself to the inevitability of it, but she clearly took one look at this bespectacled, pot-bellied, bearded social-reprobate in front of her and decided, “he can work this out on his own…he’s clearly not some wee granny buying her first phone”.
This weekend the StickyGram Team was checking out the design talent at this year’s Pulse London event. iPhone in hand we headed around the massive venue, where there was everything from jewellery to illustrations to giant vases.
But… you’ll never guess the first thing that we came across?
Yep, unbelieveable. The designer Sian Zeng’s beautiful fairytale like art comes in the form of magnetic wallpaper, which allows you to use magnets to tell your own fairytales. Take a look at some of these images from her blog…
We also bumped into a number of keen Instagramers. First up was Hilary Grant Design, she told us how she used Instagram to showcase the first glimpses of her collection for next season. Throughout the show she slowly revealed her stand and her full collection. Take a look at some of her Instagrams from the show…
We then took a stroll round to see Abigail*Ryan Homewares, who had also been Instagraming and live blogging the progress of their stand. Abigail said that having an iPhone had literally changed her life. We concur! Take a look at their stand - don’t you just want to throw yourself into those pillows?
Katie Treggiden, from Confessions of a Design Geek, brought us something a little different. She had a stand set up to conduct live interviews with designers. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to speak to Katie as she was really busy, but her Instagrams give you a little insight into what she got up to…
And last but not least, we love a bit of risque crafting and noone does it like MisoFunky! Take a close look at the image below - you’ll see what we mean - except Claire’s Mum made her censor the ones she thought were too much!
Hope you enjoyed joining us on our little journey around Pulse London!
The phone I want just got released, but the Orange website was being a total cuntflap and not allowing me to use my Phone Fund discount.
And then I didn’t know if the actual Ayr shop would have the phone, but Katie just popped her head in on her break there, and says that they do have it….so….if I can run away from work early…..I might be able to get it!
Katie to the rescue once again! Yay!
Although, it pisses me off when phone shop folk “set up” my phone for me. That’s part of the fun, I don’t want their grubby hands all over my new phone!
I promise to be nice to her if there will be cake :D
See, I wouldn’t even get in a huge extravagant cake either…just the same cake we’d get in for if you came round for a tea party.
Because otherwise, that’d be defeating the idea of “real people keeping her grounded”. I mean, sure, she could buy any fucking cake she wanted. But round mine, she’d either have a cake we made ( which would be a Betty Crocker Devils Food Chocolate cake ) or a slice of Jamaica Ginger Cake, or a wee individual cupcake from Tesco.
Katie has agreed that if she wants to come to Sophie’s 1st birthday, there is space enough for one extra person ( her minders / agent / whoever would have to stand outside )
I love that this turned into something about Katy Perry. Here we were-the people of tumblr excited by your sentiment only to realise that it’s all to impress Katy.
If we ignore all the “things to do with Sophie”, 80% of anything I think, say or do during the day is with the main thought that it might impress Katy Perry :(
But when she reads this ( because, c’mon, she’ll Google her name sometimes, and clearly she’ll make a bee-line to my Tumblr ) and she get in touch to organise a play-date / tea party at mine, I’ll let you come round too, if you promise to be nice to her ^_^
and people pay me to do things regardless of the fact that there will have been a substantial drop in quality
of whatever it is I’m doing ( we’ll assume photography, but who knows )
I’ll remember my friends. I’ll remember all you Tumblr peoples.
And I’ll still come on Tumblr and talk to everyone and we’ll be like a big family and you can come round my house and we’ll all have a silly big party.
Because it occurs to me, that when celebrities only date/marry celebrities, they are too similar…celebs need to stay in touch with “real” people, to stay grounded. That seems to me to be why these celeb things don’t work out.
In short. Katy Perry should go out with me. Or at least be my friend and come over for tea and cake.
